Friends of Milly Molly   "Feeling the Same" Campaign    News & Events    Donations     Fundraising     World Vision (Africa)

Make a Donation to The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of every Milly, Molly book goes to The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc., which aims to promote the acceptance of diversity and the learning of life skills through literacy– 'for every child, a book.'

The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc. is operated exclusively for charitable, literary and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the (U.S.) Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

Because of this Milly, Molly is now able to offer an opportunity for everyone who believes in the principles that Milly and Molly espouse in the realm of character education and the acceptance of diversity, to make a tax-deductible contribution to The Friends of Milly, Molly.

For every US $3.00 that you donate, The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc. undertake to provide a needy child with a book.

Please consider the following:

General Donation

Make a donation in your own name to support the programs of The Friends of Milly, Molly, and help us to ensure that no child goes without a book because of an inability to afford one. Suggested minimum donation: $25*

Honor Gift

Make a donation to commemorate a special occasion, such as a holiday, birthday, or a wedding. Supply us with an address, and the special person you honor will receive a personal card from The Friends of Milly, Molly notifying him or her of your thoughtfulness and generosity. Suggested minimum donation: $100*

Memorial Gift

Make a donation in memory of a child, relative or friend who has passed away; someone full of joy, love and tolerance or perhaps someone who was committed to the educational and character-building message that Milly and Molly are trying to pass around the world. Subject to your approval, we will ensure that the name of the individual you choose to recognise is posted on The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc. website to acknowledge your gift. Suggested minimum donation: $250*

Planned Gifts

Planned giving integrates a donor's charitable gift with his or her overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals to maximize benefits to the donor, and to The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc.

Planned gifts generally come from a donor's assets rather than income, and can be either outright or deferred. Planned gifts may come through:

  • Wills
  • Trusts, Charitable Lead Trust, Charitable Remainder Trust
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Real Estate
  • Life Insurance
  • Mutual Funds
  • Pooled Income Fund
  • Donor Advised Fund

We recommend that donors consult with their financial and/or legal advisors prior to making a planned gift.

The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc. currently encourages Planned Gifts as follows:

Foundation/Corporate Donation
Milly, Molly has concluded agreements with a number of corporate partners around the world. The Friends of Milly, Molly (N.Z.) Inc., for example, has recently concluded an agreement with World Vision (NZ) to undertake a variety of joint ventures for the benefit of needy children in East Africa.
Foundations and corporations can support the goals and objectives of The Friends of Milly, Molly by making a donation in their own name to the Friends. Such partnerships can enable corporations to maintain a strong and visible commitment to philanthropic causes while supporting our work. Corporate support may include sponsorship of fund-raising and program events, promotional activities, cause-related marketing initiatives and matching gift programs.
We strongly recommend that potential donors consult with us and with their financial and/or legal advisors before making a corporate gift.

Bequest
It is possible for individuals to remember The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc. in their estate or financial plans. Individuals may make a bequest in their will, or name the 'Friends' as a beneficiary of a savings account, life insurance policy or retirement plan, or establish a gift annuity or trust to benefit our work.
Many of the planned giving opportunities that we offer allow donors to benefit from savings on income and estate taxes, supplement retirement income or provide income for a child's education while making a significant contribution to our initiatives.
Again, we strongly recommend that potential donors consult with their financial and/or legal advisors before making a bequest to The Friends of Milly, Molly Inc.
